Ankaranska Bandima Festival Returns to Študent Beach
On Saturday, 12 September, Ankaranska Bandima, Ankaran's traditional celebration of alternative music and socialising, returns to Študent Beach. This year, for the first time, the event is being organised by the Ankaran Public Institute.
The festival, which for many years has brought together the local music scene and performers from Slovenia and abroad, remains true to its roots – original music, volunteering, socialising and a non-commercial festival spirit.
The programme will begin at 5 pm with the “Zverinice iz Ankarana” creative workshops and free pancakes for children.
At 5.30 pm, the “SKAČI, KAMEN, SKAČI!” stone-skipping championship will follow. The competition will be held in mixed pairs, with participants aiming to make a flat stone bounce as many times as possible across the surface of the sea. Teams can register until the start of the competition. The most successful teams will receive the titles of Ankaran's Gold, Silver and Bronze Frog, along with prizes from TIC Ankaran.
From 8 pm onwards, the programme will continue with live music performances and socialising to the sounds of alternative music.
Once again, Ankaranska Bandima will offer an opportunity for different generations, alternative music enthusiasts and everyone wishing to round off the summer in a relaxed atmosphere by the sea to come together.
Admission to the event is free.
