Chris Eckman is a singer-songwriter with an alchemist's touch, who has been captivating audiences for decades with his distinct poetic voice and musical breadth. As the former leader of the legendary Seattle band The Walkabouts and with a successful solo career (six albums), he has crafted a recognizable sound at the intersection of rock, folk, and Americana. His songs have been covered by artists such as Townes Van Zandt, Steve Wynn, and Willard Grant Conspiracy. His penultimate album, Where the Spirit Rests (2021), received the prestigious German Music Critics' Award (Preis der Deutschen Schallplattenkritik) for its concentrated emotional power and mature introspection.  

Three and a half years later, Eckman returns with a new release, The Land We Knew the Best, featuring Jana Beltran, one of the prominent singer-songwriters in our region.
