As part of the international days dedicated to nature, including the European Day of Parks (24 May), Slovenian Nature Parks Week will take place across Slovenia, with protected area managers preparing a variety of events for visitors.

In Debeli rtič Landscape Park, you will have the opportunity to explore the richness of the park’s marine environment on Saturday, 23 May 2026, at 10:00, during a free guided walk along the marine educational trail. Participants will meet at the large sandy parking area, and the walk will offer a fascinating insight into the unique marine ecosystem and natural features of this protected area.

Nature lovers and enthusiasts of the underwater world will also be able to visit the exhibition of underwater photographs by Borut Furlan, titled “The Hidden World of Debeli rtič”, at the Ankaran Intergenerational Centre from 22 to 31 May 2026. Through his lens, the exhibition reveals the often unseen beauty beneath the sea surface.
