The community of the Italian nationality in Ankaran invites you: Calegaria

Koper-based Calegaria challenges the musical heritage of Istria in the Istrovenetian language. Founded between 2005 and 2006, the band named itself after the enchanting street in the heart of Koper, where shoemakers once worked. The ensemble combines traditional Istrian melodies with modern sounds, presenting them in a fresh yet respectful reinterpretation. Using typical folk instruments alongside electric bass, drums, keyboards, and guitars, their goal is to bring this rich musical heritage closer to a wider audience. Their songs invite listeners to enjoy, dance, and connect — to experience the music that links people to their roots. The group has released four albums and performed at numerous venues both domestically and internationally, including Folkest, Cankar Hall, and communities of Italians across Istria. Their performances are often supported by RTV Slovenia, TV Koper-Capodistria, Rai 1, and Rai 3.
